YOU THERE

a poem.

You there

On the windowsill

Pretending not to hear your heart

Are you waiting for something?

What do you have in common with that

Person in the photo?

Have you been to the depths of your desire?

You will be great

And it matters

Not at all

This face

This body

This story

What would you be without it?

Could you

Be without it?

Let it grow, let it grow

Cry, cry, cry

It won’t always be this way

Stretch, stretch yourself out

Into the deep sky of your imagining

Are you waiting for something?

Touch your face

One day

 this body won’t be yours

Anymore

Everyday

This truth exists

Are you listening?

Are you waiting for something?

Always

There will be moments

In which it is all

Too much

Let it grow

Let it grow

Let it be beauty

Find the rhythm and be quiet

Are you waiting for something?
